The LaTimes spoke with Christina Hodson about Batgirl, which hasn’t started production yet, as far as we know. I love her excitement about the character of Batgirl.
“She’s all the things I love about Batman. I’ve always been more interested in humans than supernatural things and monsters. People are capable of profound good, but also profound evil. The things that people will do when you back them into a corner are amazing, terrifying, and wonderful at the same time, and it draws out these primal things in us — good and bad. And that, to me, is so fascinating.”
What interest me the most about what she says about batgirl is about people. “People are capable of profound good, but also profound evil.” If the story goes the way she wants it to that means no studio interference. This could be a great movie with actual character progression. Unlike some dc film cough cough Suicide Squad.
Anyway what do you think? comment down below.
One more thing Christina Hodson is also set to write Birds of Prey so that will be her first introduction to the Worlds of Dc.
