Kiersey Clemons Talks ‘THE FLASH’ During Hollywood Event

One of the most anticipated films in the DC’s Cinematic line up has always been the Flash film. The film has seen two directors leave the project, first Seth Grahame-Smith and then Rick Famuyiwa. The Flash has since hired directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. It has been reported that the film hopes to begin filming in February of 2019 for a potential 2020 release date though Warner Bros. has not confirmed a filming start date or a release date at this time. Kiersey Clemons attended the Power of Young Hollywood event and was asked by Variety to provide an update on the film. When asked about the status, Kiersey replied

“No idea, we don’t know yet,” Clemons said. “I mean, we have a little bit of an idea kind of who our director is, but I can’t say that. But I talk with Ezra [Miller] frequently and we’ll see. We can’t say anything until you guys know.”

Clemons was also asked if the film was on hold to which she replied

“Yes, What I will say is that they get to approve every job that I do and, so far, I’m not doing Flash for the rest of the year, we know that. I’m doing other things. But let’s hope for 2019.”

Clemons could just be playing coy about the film but she does hope for a 2019 start which lines up with recent reports. Clemons stated she is going to busy filming Lady and the Tramp  and she is looking forward to that

“I’m about to leave to Georgia to film the live-action Lady and the Tramp, We’re gonna have to mix a few different ways of trying to make this the best live-action talking dog thing that you’ve ever seen, but I’m really excited. And I’m filming with Thomas Mann, Tessa Thompson is playing Lady, which is amazing and it’s funny because I won’t actually get to work with her, unfortunately.”
