Luke Cage Season 2 In-depth (Spoiler Free) Review

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The hero of Harlem returns for another season and it’s better than ever. This season delivers more heart and well-crafted story telling than its predecessor but still gives us more of what we loved the first time.

Finally getting to see Luke deal with not just doing the right thing but also deal with his new celebrity and trying to figure out all this with no job, yet, was nice to see. Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is definitely the star of the show and definitely seems to be more comfortable in the role, more now than ever.

He isn’t alone though as Misty Knight (Simone Missick) brings her “A game” as she deals with the repercussions of losing her arm in Defenders but also her place on the police force. The villains though truly due shine this season as John McIver aka Bushmaster commands the screen and delivers an extraordinary performance as the crime lord and a formidable match for the Power Man himself.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Not to be out did though, Mariah (Alfre Woodard) and Shades (Theo Rossi) both bring new levels to their characters that I don’t think anybody was expecting but should be prepared for.

Luke Cage season 2 also has so many references and new characters from the comics this go around that I found myself giddy with geek glee. This new season was a blast, consistently, from beginning to end and all I got to say is, Sweet Christmas!! Make sure to check it out this exciting new chapter on Netflix June 22nd.

You won’t want to miss it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”18″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_border” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
