On Instagram, Atlanta_filming, which has provided numerous set photos from the Marvel Cinematic Universe before, shared images of Vincent D’Onofrio as the Kingpin, in a costume that seems more comic book accurate. The user noted that they cropped the images in such a way as to avoid any spoilers of any plot points about the scenes being filmed.
After debuting in last year’s Hawkeye, Echo will feature the return of Alaqua Cox as she reprises her role as Maya Lopez. In Hawkeye we learned she had a long history with Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin. Echo will also feature Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil however it is still unclear how much we will see of them both in the series.
In the Marvel comics, Echo first appeared in 1999’s Daredevil #9 created by David Mack and Joe Quesada. The character is a deaf skilled martial artist, and has over the years served on various teams such as the Avengers.
Created by Marion Dayre, Echo is scheduled to be released at some point mid-2023 on Disney+ the series will be a part of MCU’s Phase Five.
