Back in the early 80’s, when Arnold Schwarzenegger was just beginning to take over the Hollywood action scene, he made two movies based on Robert E. Howard’s iconic Barbarian Conan. Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer in 1982 and 1984 respectively. While neither film killed at the box office they did well enough and although Schwarzenegger moved onto other projects, he never forgot Conan.
Fast forward to today and Schwarzenegger who is now 71 still has the itch to play the character one more time. He put it out there when promoting Marvel Comics Conan the Barbarian#1 which just so happens to have Arnold in his Barbarian prime on the cover.
Conan is back. I was so pumped to get this new special edition comic book. They’ll be available at the @ArnoldSports or you can get yours now.: https://t.co/s5DzorEITd pic.twitter.com/UXbC3ZOUj9

In the post he extols the virtues of the comic book (especially the cover) and reiterates that he has wanted to do a Conan film again. He finishes by saying “Let’s do it.” Truth be told, if ANYONE can make that happen, it is Arnold.
