The weekends are the days you can unwind, kick your feet up, and completely let go. A lot of people’s go-to method to let loose is to watch a movie or even binge-watch a series. In order for a series to be binge-worthy, it obviously has to be good. In this article, we will disclose some of the best series to binge-watch this weekend!

We will talk about series that are exclusively available on ULLU. ULLU is an up-and-coming streaming platform. The platform allows you to watch a variety of Hot and Romantic web series, movies, and exclusive content.  ULLU has an exclusive content library featuring original shows, regional content,  audio stories, and much more. However, we are here to discuss the best web series to binge-watch this weekend.

    1. Tandoor (2021- Present, IMDb: 5.6/10)

This show is a narration of the fateful events that took place on the night of 2nd July 1995. Its plot is loosely based on the case of that night that shook the entire nation of India due to the atrocity of the crime committed. The case involved a husband murdering his wife, cutting her up into pieces, and roasting her in the tandoor of his restaurant.

The show tells you a story that may have already heard of. However, the way they have portrayed it is what keeps you wanting to watch it until the very end. It very beautifully portrays the struggle of a man that is suspected of a crime. He is not only trying to run away from the law but also from his guilty conscience. The twist at the end is something you will not see coming. It will make you see the events that transpired in a very different light.

    1. Halala (2019, IMDb: 7.7/10)

The plot follows the rules of marriage and divorce along with its issues within Islamic traditions. The story starts off with a newly-wed couple- Afza and Raahil.  They initially bask in the sweetness of a new marriage. However, one day, in a fit of rage, Raahil divorces Afza through the rules of ‘Triple Talaq. When he cools down, he realizes the extent of his actions. He asks his elders for help regarding remarrying Afza. However, they inform him about the rule of Nikah Halala.

It states that if a divorced woman wants to remarry her first husband, she has to first get married to another man. She has to then consummate that relationship and then divorce that man. Only then would she be able to remarry her first husband. Hearing this, Raahil takes the help of his friend Zaid to marry Afza so he can then remarry her.

The entire series resonates with you because it shows you the true extent of the issues that women face within the marriage rules in Islam. While the storyline may be a little critical, the show makes you feel deeply for the woman in the situation, who not only has no choice in the matter but also has no voice of her own.

    1. Innocent (2018-present, IMDb: 8.1/10)

This show is a four-part story that takes you on a journey of crime and fully shows you the impact that actions can have on the victims, the guilty, and the innocent. It is a whodunnit mystery about a man that is incarcerated for the murder of his wife.

However, he is acquitted after spending seven years in prison. The plot follows the journey of this man as he tries to bring justice to his murdered wife by both trying to find the killer and gain custody of his two children.

Filled with tense atmospheres and deep characters, this show is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat. Every episode leaves you thinking about who the killer could be and it really does not help that they keep leaving you clues in every episode!

It is guaranteed that once you start watching it, you simply will not be able to get enough. The two seasons out right now have garnered a great reaction from the audience, who only keep wanting more!

    Conclusion

Getting a ULLU subscription is sure to make your time worthwhile- especially on those lazy weekends! It is full of shows, movies, and various other forms of entertainment that are sure to keep you constantly exploring new things.

Since it is a worldwide streaming site, you also get exposure to content from different languages and cultures. The three shows talked about in this article are but a few of the many great shows that exist on this platform. Although for now, we highly recommend you give these shows a try this weekend!
