When Disney released Maleficent in 2014, Angelina Jolie killed it in her portrayal of the iconic Disney Villainess. Although the film itself had a lukewarm reception, Jolie’s turn as Maleficent was widely embraced. With that in mind, it made sense that a sequel was in the offing. Especially with the star power of Jolie. That follow-up comes to fruition October 18th as Maleficent: Mistress of Evil comes to theaters.
To promote its impending release, Disney has released a “Behind the Scenes” featurette. In the piece, it explores how the cast and the actress herself describes her role returning as the iconic character.
