CBS Studios is developing a four-hour miniseries based on James Comey’s book ‘A Higher Loyalty’. Previously, Jeff Daniels was brought on to play Comey, while Brendan Gleeson will play Donald Trump, Holly Hunter will be Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, Michael Kelly will be Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Jennifer Ehle will be Patrice Comey, Peter Coyote will be Robert Mueller, Steven Pasquale will be ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok, and Oona Chaplin will be FBI lawyer Lisa Page.
Halt and Catch Fire’s Scoot McNairy joins the cast as former US Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Along with McNairy, When They See Us’s William Sadler will be former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, and Grey’s Anatomy’s T.R. Knight will play the former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.
A Higher Loyalty will tackle the Trump presidency and the potential clash it continues to have with Constitutional Law.
CBS will set an airdate and afterward, decide whether it wants to broadcast the mini-series on Showtime, CBS All Access, or both.
