A NEW Ghost Recon ‘World Premiere’ Will Be Arriving Later This Week

Fans are eager to see if a new Ghost Recon title will be revealed or is it something new?

Ubisoft has now confirmed that something new in the Ghost Recon world will be revealed later this week. The announcement, which has been speculated for a few months now, finally came from the Skell Technology website and a new promotion on there for an event named “Skellcon”. It is scheduled to start at 11:30 am PT on May 9. Ubisoft then went onto to tease fans even more over on Twitter announcing the premiere calling “All Ghosts” to tune in.

Now, if you’re sat there wondering why you’ve never heard of “Skelltech” before there’s a good reason for that. It doesn’t technically exist. Its a tech company inside the Tom Clancy universe which is famous for making some super high tech gear and weapons which Ghost Recon, Fourth Echelon, and Rainbow use, spreading across multiple Tom Clancy titles. Skellcon most recently featured in Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ latest expansion, Operation Oracle. In Operation Oracle the Ghost Recon team partners up with the Punisher himself, Jon Bernthal in order to save a Skell engineer whos being held, hostage.

Ubisoft is keeping details on this new reveal tightly under wraps leading many fans to speculate about what could be revealed. It’s quite obvious that whatever will be revealed will be part of the Tom Clancy universe so, sorry Watch Dog and Assassin’s Creed fans. The “Calling all ghosts” line on Twitter means the obvious assumption is that this will be a Ghost Recon related announcement, possibly a brand new title or maybe just additional content for Wildlands. We’ll just have to wait and see what May 9th brings us but for now, I’m going to sit here quietly and pray that we finally get a Splinter Cell announcement. Hey, a man can dream, can’t he?
