ABC has decided to not move forward with the Gina Torres-led series, The Brides. The Brides was also meant to star Gotham’s Erin Richards and is a “sexy family drama” and a “contemporary reimagining of Dracula”. The series was set to revolve around three powerful and immortal women who strive to maintain their wealth, legacy, and prestige. All while maintaining a nontraditional family.
Reports also state that even though ABC won’t move forward with The Brides, it is allowed to be shopped to other networks. It’s said that this decision is partly due to the COVID-19 outbreak pretty much stopping the entertainment industry.
Warner Bros. Television is still attached to The Brides as a producer.
