Actor Jesse L. Martin Taking a Medical Leave from The Flash

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9470″ img_size=”780×439″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]After five seasons of The Flash, it seems that the beloved show is about to lose one of its strongest and well-liked characters. According to reports, actor Jesse L. Martin, who plays Barry’s adoptive father Detective Joe West, will be taking a leave of absence due to a medical concern. Having injured his back during the show’s hiatus, it seems this is an ongoing issue that needs to be addressed.

A representative stated:

“Jesse Martin is taking a medical leave of absence from The Flash. We wish him a full and speedy recovery and look forward to his return as Detective Joe West.”

While we don’t know how long Martin will be out, there are sources that hint that Joe’s absence will be hinted at. We have had him in the show so far, but if you notice, he’s been mostly sitting in every scene.

Hopefully, we get Martin back soon, and we hope that he gets some much-needed rest during his recovery.

Hope he gets well soon. Don’t get me wrong: I know back injuries suck, but I’m glad to hear it wasn’t something worse.
