During Comic Con 2018 fans were treated with some shockingly good news for the upcoming second season of Iron Fist, actress Alice Eve would be joining the cast as Typhoid Mary. In the comics Typhoid Mary is a mutant supervillain who is mainly the enemy of Daredevil. She is a trained martial artist with abilities such as telekinesis and pyrokinesis. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly the actress opened up about her role saying:
“I can reveal she has multiple personalities and that she’s very, very violent. I learned very, very hard how to fight like Typhoid Mary and that, for me, was the take away, which I loved. Reading comics, I fell in love with her. She’s completely psychotic and brilliant.”
Alice Eve seems very dedicated to this role and she should be a welcomed addition to the second season of Iron Fist and depending on where they take her character she could end up crossing over to the Daredevil series. Iron Fist will also introduce us to the classic yellow mask that we all know and love from the comics. The cast and crew also indicate that the action and fight sequences will be better this season as well.
