Adam Sandler is teaming back up with Netflix for a basketball film, Hustle. LeBron James joins the NBA film as a producer as Jeremiah Zagar will direct the film, which was scripted by Taylor Materne and Will Fetters. Netflix acquired the movie from Legendary.
Hustle will center around an American basketball scout, played by Sandler; who is fired from his job after he discovers a stellar player abroad. Sandler’s character brings the player to America to prove they both can make it in the NBA. There’s no information as to where the player will be from, just “abroad”. According to Collider, Materne’s original script was about a Chinese streetball player.
This could be the case, but it may switch up. As we find out more information, we will let you know.
