AEW’s New Collaboration Turns Heads: AEW x Doja Cat Is A Success Now

Doja Cat and All Elite Wrestling, not the first collaboration that comes to mind, but AEW finds a “Dynamite” combination here.

AEW’s New Commercial featuring the brands top stars in an asylum interspersed with Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Red” has garnered over 2 million views on X (formerly Twitter) alone. The drop of this commercial on November 1st, was a pleasant surprise for wrestling fans clamoring to see the women of AEW featured more.

However, the way this commercial showcased the character of these women underscored how well this song seems to fit the tone of current women’s division. Seeing Saraya, Toni Storm, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., Willow Nightingale, Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose, and Kris Statlander gave a new potential direction on how to book these women on television without sacrificing the character equity already present. Nothing in this ad was out of place or out of sync with what we’ve seen before.

Watching the stars express themselves as Doja Cat sings “Mm, she the devil, She a bad lil’ *****, she a rebel, She put her foot to the pedal, It’ll take a whole lot for me to settle ” made the competitors look fierce in a way necessary for the division.

Could a live appearance from Doja Cat pop up on our screens soon?

As Doja Cat’s lyrics say “I said what I said, I’d rather be famous instead.”
