Alan Tudyk Joins Harley Quinn Animated Series as The Joker

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9078″ img_size=”900×400″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While playing the Joker has become somewhat of a major responsibility, voicing the Clown Prince is an even bigger deal. While we’ve had the likes of Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, Jared Leto, and now Joaquin Phoenix playing live action versions of the popular villain, Mark Hamill himself is probably the most well-known for lending his voice to various renditions that include both animated series and video games. While Hamill won’t be returning as the Joker in DC Universe’s upcoming Harley Quinn Animated Series, we do have a very talented actor stepping in.

Alan Tudyk has been set to voice someone in the new show for about three weeks, but now we finally know that he’ll be voicing none other than the Joker himself. Tudyk has had a long list of accomplishments that include Firefly and Star Wars, so it’s a big treat to have him on board. Additionally, Christopher Meloni (SVU, Oz, Happy) will be voicing Jim Gordon, according to Batman voice actor Diedrich Bader. Rahul Kohli (iZombie) comes into voice Scarecrow, as Kaley Cuoco will be voicing Harley Quinn herself.

The series will jump off from Harley’s recent breakup with the Joker, setting out to score a place on the Legion of Doom. The series will premiere in 2019 and might be a good reason for me to get a DC Universe subscription.
