Amenadiel Returns in New Video for ‘Lucifer’ Netflix Debut

Lucifer will find a new home on Netflix after Fox didn’t renew the popular show. While there was a #RenewLucifer tag trending on Twitter, Fox still didn’t pick up the show centering around Lucifer coming to the surface to start solving crimes. Thankfully, Netflix swooped in to save the day and while there is no concrete date as to when the new season will premiere, we do know that the show is filming.

According to D.B. Woodside, the actor who played the eldest angel Amenadiel; tweeted out a video “Amenadiel is back”. Amenadiel was last seen in season three carrying off Charlotte Richards to heaven.

Amenadiel will return in the fourth season, which will be ten episodes as opposed to the twenty-two episode line-up on Fox. Despite the twelve episodes cut, main star Tom Ellis is positive that the shortened season will allow for a sharper story-telling.

“I’m excited about the fact that we are 10 episodes now as opposed to 22, which means we can get right down to the storytelling, and every episode will count,” Ellis said. “from my point of view as an actor, that’s great.”

How excited are you that Lucifer was picked up by Netflix?
