Frankly, I’ve elated that Tom Pelphrey is getting the work he deserves. Recently, he’s been in Netflix’s Mank and Ozark season 3. He brought his everything to Iron Fist and Banshee. And now he will star as the infamous conman and fugitive Jason Derek Brown in American Murderer.
This role is opposite Idina Menzel, Ryan Phillippe, and Jacki Weaver. Matthew Gentile wrote the script and will direct the film. American Murderer focuses on Brown, who is a charismatic conman who achieves his rich lifestyle through scamming others. It’s when his funds begin to run low that he becomes the FBI’s most unlikely and “elusive” top 10 fugitives.
The film will start production in Salt Lake City.
