Prepare for a musical-comedy-thriller like no other as “OPEN,” directed by Miles Doleac, is set to captivate audiences when it opens in theaters on November 3, followed by a digital release on November 7, courtesy of Virgil Films.

“OPEN” unfolds the intriguing story of Kristina, portrayed by Lindsay Anne Williams, a woman grappling with a troubled marriage. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she falls for a former TV star and teen heartthrob, played by Jeremy London, whose once-promising career has spiraled downward. Adding a unique twist, Kristina experiences music video-like hallucinations, thrusting her into the spotlight as the frontwoman of an 80’s new wave band.

The script of “OPEN” seamlessly merges elements reminiscent of “MARRIAGE STORY” with the vibrant energy of “SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD,” a creative collaboration between Doleac and Williams, the masterminds behind the captivating storyline. Notably, the film features 10 original songs, underscoring the musical journey within the movie. The songs were crafted through a collaboration between Doleac, Williams, Clifton Hyde, a long-time collaborator and composer, and Oliver Hofer. Together, they’ve created a musical landscape sure to resonate with fans of synth-driven 80’s post-punk.

Jeremy London, one of the stars of “OPEN,” expressed his enthusiasm for the project, especially his role, stating, “This film is like our own ROCKY HORROR in a way. It’s possibly my favorite role in 33 years in this business. I can’t even describe how fun and outrageous and brilliant these songs are.”

Director Miles Doleac echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the dedication poured into the film, stating, “We left it all on the field with this one; I think audiences will sense that in the telling.”

As anticipation builds for the film’s release, the “OPEN” soundtrack album, featuring both songs and score elements, is set to hit streaming platforms and limited-edition vinyl on October 13. The star-studded cast includes Lindsay Anne Williams, Jeremy London, Miles Doleac, Elena Sanchez, and William Forsythe, promising a cinematic experience like no other.

Stay tuned for “OPEN” as it graces the silver screen on November 3, offering a unique blend of comedy, thrills, and music, all rolled into one captivating narrative. Whether you catch it in theaters or from the comfort of your home, “OPEN” promises a rollercoaster ride of emotions and an unforgettable journey into the world of 80’s-inspired music and drama.
