Anime Deserves More Respect

Most people that are not into or never watched anime usually think anime is not important. Some people may think it’s only fan service others may think it is only for children. They are not wrong to think that, but they are not right either. Just because some anime has fan service and just because other anime are for children doesn’t make it any less important than other mediums like films, books, video games, and comic books. Just like films, books, video games, and comic books. There’re sections only for adults and sections for kids even for both. Some have important lessons, some are just pure fun, some are very gruesome, and others may be perverted just like any film, book, video games, and comic books.

If you never noticed a lot of filmmakers take anime as influences for their own films as well. Films like Paprika (Anime) and inception (Film), Ghost in the Shell (Anime) and The Matrix (Film), and so much more. I feel that anime is super underestimated and very much a unsung hero in the film world.

Here are some anime films and shows I would recommend. Any Hayao Miyazaki film such as: Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and My Neighbor Totoro. Your Name, A Silent Voice, Akira, The Boy and the Beast, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Ghost in the Shell, Attack on Titan, Cowboy Bebop, Tokyo Ghoul, Full Metal Alchemist, and Deadman Wonderland.
