Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson Take on the Banking Industry in the 1960s for an Apple TV+ Movie

The trailer for Apple TV’s first movie has been released. The Bank stars Anthony Mackie, Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Hoult, Nia Long, Jessie T. Usher, and Colm Meany.

The Banker is based on a true story and follows businessmen Bernard Garrett (Mackie) and Joe Morris (Jackson) as they look to put together a plan to help African Americans pursue the American dream. Taking place in the 1960s, they look to train a working-class white man (Hoult) to pose as a rich/privileged face of Garrett and Morris’ successful and growing real estate and banking empire. Garrett and Morris pose as a janitor and a chauffeur. During the course of the trailer and the movie, the federal government begins to take notice and threatens everything the two have worked towards.
