    Arrow Video Announces New Spinoff Label Toy Robot Video And First 4K UHD & Blu-Ray Releases

    Fan-favorite boutique label Arrow Video has announced TOY ROBOT VIDEO, a new subsidiary entertainment label that aims to recreate the wondrous experience of browsing titles at the local video store, with fabulous new cover artwork, film masters transferred from the best elements available, colorfully-branded OBI-Strips, slip cards, art cards, and extras – and at allowance-friendly prices. Arrow Video has already established itself as one of the best labels in the game, and Toy Robot Video aims to incorporate more mainstream film content and genres into its slate in definitive-edition physical releases for collectors’ home entertainment shelves.

    Toy Robot Video’s Mike Hewitt commented: “We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new home entertainment video label across the US, Canada and the UK. With a resurgent interest in Physical Media, especially amongst younger film fans, Toy Robot Video is intended to be a fun and inclusive label, designed to complement our core Arrow Video brand, spreading the joy of physical media ownership outside of the boundaries of cult fans and cineastes.  

    Toy Robot Video has announced five new titles to launch their collection on 4K UHD and Blu-Ray this September: Masters of the Universe (1987), Guyver: Dark Hero (1994), Marshmallow (2025), Roaring Fire (1981), and Ninja Wars (1982). These represent a muscular action-adventure movie based on a classic character, an intergalactic alien action sequel, a summer camp urban legend horror film, a wild Japanese stunt comedy, and a magical martial arts jidaigeki epic.     GUYVER: DARK HERO | NEW - Official Blu-ray Trailer | 2026

    Guyver: Dark Hero [Blu-Ray]

    Street Date: September 8, 2026

    A blue armored figure fights three monstrous creatures amid fiery explosions, with the title “The Guyver 2: Dark Hero” displayed at the top.Synopsis: The world’s most powerful superhero returns in this exciting sequel to THE GUYVER. Sean Barker returns to settle some unfinished business with the evil human mutants, the Zoanoids. Drawn to an archeological dig in Utah, he discovers an alien ship filled with weapons capable of world destruction. With the fate of all mankind in his hands, The Guyver makes a final stand against the forces of evil.

    Making its Blu-ray debut with a new master transferred from the best surviving film elements, this set contains two cuts of the film – the Original 1994 version of Guyver: Dark Heroand an Enhanced version, with new special effects. Directed by creature effects wizard Steve Wang (KUNG FU RASCALS, DRIVE).

    Roaring Fire [Blu-Ray]

    On the death bed of his adoptive father, Texas-raised rancher Joji learns a shocking family secret – he has a twin brother and sister he never knew about. Determined to find his brother, Joji travels to Japan only to discover he has been mysteriously killed. As he stays with his sister and digs deeper, Joji uncovers his uncle’s involvement in criminal enterprises, including plans to obtain a priceless 130-carat diamond known as the Queen of Sheba. Betrayal and vengeance unfold as Joji confronts his corrupt uncle and fights to avenge his family.

    ROARING FIRE had a brief U.S. theatrical release by New Line Cinema in 1982 and features an all-star cast including Sonny Chiba, Etsuko Shihomi, legendary wrestler Abdullah the Butcher and is directed by veteran filmmaker Norifumi Suzuki (SHOGUN’S NINJA, SEX & FURY).

    Marshmallow [Blu-Ray]

    Ninja Wars [Blu-Ray]

    The story follows Jotaro, a wandering ninja who becomes entangled in a deadly conflict between rival clans after a brutal massacre wipes out his comrades. As he investigates, he discovers that the violence is tied to a sinister conspiracy involving a demonic sect seeking power through forbidden rituals. This group employs grotesque, otherworldly abilities–blurring the line between human and monster–to eliminate their enemies and dominate the region.

    Jotaro joins forces with a mysterious female survivor whose own past is steeped in tragedy and vengeance. Together, they confront increasingly bizarre and terrifying foes, each wielding unnatural powers. As the battles escalate, Jotaro must rely not only on his physical skill but also on inner resolve to resist corruption and defeat the dark forces threatening to consume the land.

    The film is known for its stylized violence, eerie atmosphere, and imaginative (often shocking) supernatural elements, making it a standout entry in early 1980s Japanese genre cinema.
