Video Quality
Gravitas Ventures brings Bad Behaviour to MOD Blu-Ray with a delightful 1080p video presentation. The image is largely crisp and clean with the distinct rural landscapes emanating off the screen. The production design and the outfits also provide clear textural details. Black levels are lovingly deep with no serious instances of digital noise. There is some short-lived banding and other minor digital hiccups that pop up, but it is far from an issue. Flesh tones are natural with incredible detail present in close-ups. The presentation allows for a rich amount of depth on display, especially when out and about at the retreat. The label has treated this one well.
Audio Quality
This Blu-Ray comes with a solid DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track that reaches the narrative ambitions of this film wonderfully. Dialogue is the primary element of the film, and it always comes through crisp and clear without being drowned out by any competing sounds. The music emanates through the speakers with ideal fidelity. There are a few bustling moments in the film that add texture to the low end, but this is not a kinetic movie by any means. Environmental sounds of the natural world perk up the surround speakers in a rewarding manner. Ambient sounds are considerately placed in the rear channels for a fully immersive experience. The audio track accomplishes exactly what it needs to. Optional English SDH subtitles are provided.

Final Thoughts
Bad Behaviour has gotten a pretty consistent thrashing from critics ever since it debuted at Sundance, but we simply do not understand the hate. When we caught it at the festival, we thought it was an imperfect yet enjoyable tale of a complicated mother/daughter relationship that used dark humor to great effect in conjunction with poignant developments. Further viewings have only strengthened our appreciation of the film, and we contend it is one of the most interesting performances from Jennifer Connelly in some time. Gravitas Ventures has released a Blu-Ray featuring a great A/V presentation but no supplemental feature. Be sure to check this out for yourself instead of only relying on critics. Recommended
Bad Behaviour can be purchased directly through MovieZyng or various other online retailers.

Dillon is most comfortable sitting around in a theatre all day watching both big budget and independent movies.
