Batgirl #30 Review (2018)

There is something about Batgirl that makes her a bit different than Batman that makes her better in some areas as a character. Batgirl is always determined to do what is right, just like Batman but by different means and it is harder on her since Gordon is her father, so she has to protect him while he does not respect her… yet.
You can take the Batgirl out of Gotham City, but you can’t take Gotham out of the Batgirl! Politics gets personal as the race for Congress in Gotham City heats up, leading to civil unrest in Barbara’s new neighborhood—as a new villain begins to make themselves known! – Dc Comics
This is a very good start for Barbra Gordan… I mean Batgirl’s story to start. Give her a two situation that she can not control, but it is not too hard for her to try and figure out both situations and make her grow as an individual and not under Batman.
The First situation is to try and resolve the matter of the battle between Politics and the GCPD. Like always in Gotham, the cops always have their hands full with the people of Gotham and rightfully so. With the long history of most cops being corrupted the people had enough and the only good cop is in the middle of it, which is Comminisher Gordan.
Then comes to Batgirl second situation her father ever since Barbra became Batgirl she has been getting as stressed as Gordan. With their two different ideas on this certain situation, Barbra tries to find how to figure out how to solve both problems keeping the cops safe and stop the violence people are causing or certain people.
I can not wait to see what this story of Batgirl leads to. Will she show her true identity at a certain point, Will Gordon die, will Barbra never speak to her father again. There is a lot that could happen! Overall great start with a great problem for our main protagonist.
