Batman Actor Robert Pattinson Describes First Time Putting on the Batsuit

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”23257″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Matt Reeves had finally made a decision on who would be the next Batman and that is Robert Pattinson. The upcoming Bruce Wayne actor talked with Variety about trying on the Batsuit for the first time during his final audition:

“It’s maybe the craziest thing I’ve ever done in terms of movie stuff. I put it on. I remember saying to Matt, ‘It does feel quite transformative!’ He was like, ‘I would hope it does! You’re literally in the Batsuit.’ You do feel very powerful immediately. And it’s pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly difficult to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating. You’ve got five people trying to shove you into something. Once you’ve got it on, it’s like, ‘Yeah, I feel strong, I feel tough, even though I had to have someone squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs.’”

Pattinson continued, describing how he had to adapt his pre-planned way of acting out Batman based on the suit:

“You’re trying to think of the way to balance, how to bring something new to it and not want to scare people off. And work in the confines of the costume.”

Pattinson also went into his feelings once finding out he had been chosen to play Batman:

“I was absolutely relieved when Matt called. It’s so bizarre. I was like, ‘What a coincidence this is happening. It’s absolutely crazy.”

How do you feel about Pattinson being the new Batman?
