Given the opportunity, he would love to do an adaptation of Batman: No Man’s Land.
No Man’s Land
This was a crossover storyline that ran for almost all of 1999 through all the Batman comic book titles. No Man’s Land told the tale of Gotham being cut off from the outside world and abandoned by the Government. In fact, it is the same story arc that was loosely used by Fox’s Gotham as the basis for their final season. Recently, Copeland was asked during an interview about Batman: Hush on Popcorn Talk Network’s DC Movie News about what other Batman stories he would like to tackle.
It would definitely be No Man’s Land. If I had carte blanche, like, you can do whatever you want, I wanna tell the No Man’s Land story from the angle of Cassandra Cain. I would love it, that would be a dream. Heck yeah. If I got a live action and they say you can point your finger…
Who would be Batman?
As for who he would want to play Batman, Copeland didn’t hesitate:
I like Robert Pattinson. Sorry, I’m a filmmaker. And as a film director, I see that dude as a very — as an incredible actor. You wanna be able to get on set and not have to worry about your right flank. When you can get a superstar actor like that, which I think he is, you are lucky. I would use him.
While he would like to use Pattinson, he would probably have to wait his turn. Mainly because Pattinson has signed a three film Batman deal, most likely all to be directed by Matt Reeves. However, if it could be worked out, would you like to see Robert Pattinson as Batman in No Man’s Land? Share your Opinions about it with us at GeekVibesNation.
