Best New Movies You Should Definitely Watch

It is known that movies provide people with many different advantages like relaxation, excitement, spending some quality time with friends and family, and many more. However, every year hundreds of movies come out from various movie productions in the film industry, and it is not so easy to pick which are worth watching.

The same goes for this time of year when some of the best movies are released, and since the COVID-19 situation is a lot better, many cinemas are open for movie screenings. Also, many online platforms provide some of the best movies today, and sometimes it is hard not to binge all the exciting movies that one can watch.

That is why we will try to shorten the list and see the best new movies you should watch as soon as possible. So let’s start.

No Time to Die

The scheduled release on October 8, 2021, in the United States made all the 007 fans extremely excited to finally have the chance to watch the newest edition of the James Bond movie series. But, of course, the excitement is even more significant since this is Daniel Craig’s fifth and last appearance as the famous MI6 agent, and it will be his farewell Bond movie. One of his best 007 roles was his first one in ‘’Casino Royale’’ alongside Mads Mikkelsen. Watching it makes you look for the best rated online casinos and shows you always to be careful when playing a casino game and look to have fun instead.

There is no need to explain the reasons why you should watch ‘’No Time to Die’’ since it is part of one of the most incredible movie series ever. Still, yet another reason that makes this movie worth watching is the fact that the screenplay writers include the impressive Phoebe Waller-Bridge. She co-wrote the screenplay with Robert Wade, Neal Purvis, and Cary Joji Fukunaga, who is also the director of the movie, and was a student of legendary European film director Milcho Manchevski.

Of course, James Bond is always based on Ian Fleming’s writing, and as for the cast, well, it does not get any better than having Craig, Lea Seydoux, Rami Malek, Ralph Fiennes, Christoph Waltz, Ana de Armas, and many others.

The Matrix Resurrections

Another movie that is part of a series is the upcoming ‘’The Matrix Resurrections’’ which will be released on December 22, 2021. It is the first movie of the Matrix series that is directed only by Lana Wachowski since Lilly Wachowski; this time wasn’t part of the process since it was announced that Lily would take some time off from the film industry.

Another sad announcement was that Laurence Fishburne wouldn’t play the cult character Morpheus that skyrocketed his popularity with this role years ago, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will replace him. The whole world is waiting to see if the famous blue and red pill part will be as good as the legendary Fishburne could make it. Still, fans barely wait to watch the long-awaited sequel finally, and it is excellent news that all the previous main characters like Neo and Trinity will, of course, again be played by Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss. Even the famous Neil Patrick Harris will be part of this movie.

All the characters, of course, are made by the Wachowskis, and this time the screenplay was written by Lana Wachowski, David Mitchell, and Aleksandar Hemon. There are two reasons why it will explode at the box office, one because it is a Matrix movie, and two because the last one was released back in 2003, and fans have waited a long time to watch a new one.

The French Dispatch

When a screenplay is written and then directed by Wes Anderson, you should definitely watch that movie because he is one of the best directors ever. ‘’The French Dispatch’’ initially had a screening on July 12, 2021, at Cannes Film Festival, but it will be released for theatre screenings on October 22, 2021. The interesting thing is that the screenplay Anderson wrote was from a story that he invented together with Roman Coppola, Hugo Guinness, and Jason Schwartzman.

Another yet valuable reason to watch this movie is that it is an interesting mix of genres since it is considered a comedy-drama anthology film. Also, it has a fantastic cast ensemble with actors and actresses like Benicio Del Toro, Lea Seydoux, Adrien Brody, Frances McDormand, Timothee Chalamet, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, and many more. You don’t often have the chance to see so many great performers in one movie, as you will if you watch ‘’The French Dispatch’’.

It also received pretty good reviews after the screening at the Cannes Film Festival, which is one of the important movie festivals all across the globe. By the way, Willian Defoe, Edward Norton, and Anjelica Huston also are acting in this fascinating movie. You don’t need any more reasons to watch a movie; you have to see this list of outstanding performers.

Don’t Look Up

An amazing science fiction black comedy is what is announced as a genre about the upcoming ‘’Don’t Look Up’’ by one of the most authentic directors of all time by the name of Adam McKay. He invented the story alongside David Sirota and wrote the screenplay. Adam is also one of the producers of this movie, and it seems like the only thing he doesn’t do in this movie is acting. But, of course, he didn’t have to worry about the acting part at all since Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence are playing the leading roles.

It will have a limited release in theatres on December 10, 2021, and it will be distributed by the online streaming platform Netflix from December 24, 2021. Another valuable reason you should watch this movie is that this is the first comedy movie where Leonardo DiCaprio will be a part of, after many years of acting in a lot of drama, action, and other film genres where he made some of the best performances ever.

It is also important to mention that many other acting legends will be a part of ‘’Don’t Look Up’’ like Meryl Streep, Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Cate Blanchett, and many more. Last but not least, a fun fact is that Adam McKay wrote the part of Dr Kate Dibiasky as an astronomer, specifically for Jennifer Lawrence.
