‘Bigfoot Famous’ is a Parody Film About an Influencer’s Desperation to Regain Popularity

Bigfoot sightings have carved out a piece of pop culture that will seemingly never stop. Even before the birth of the internet, people have claimed they’ve caught sight of this mythological creature. And in a new film from Gravitas Venturas, writer/directors Sam Milman and Peter Vass look to touch upon this craze in their spoof film Bigfoot Famous.

Filmed in a parody-like vlogging style, Bigfoot Famous centers around a once popular influencer going on a mission to find Bigfoot and find fame again.

Bigfoot Famous was filmed during the pandemic in between the Redwoods and Los Angeles. It was completely improvised and shot within eight days. The film stars Steph Barkley, Chris Kleckner, Anthony Ma, Lauren Howard Hayes, Kelsey Gunn, Atsuko Okatsuka, and Marlon Webb.

Vass had this to say:

“The vanity surrounding influencer culture and the need to feel loved by millions of strangers is on full display in the film. It represents the most significant tale of our time…how to get more followers on social media.”

You can preorder Bigfoot Famous, which will be released by Gravitas Venturas on November 2nd.
