Cathy Yan’s DC movie has added stunt coordinator Jonathan Eusebio and fight coordinator Jon Valera of 87Eleven Action Design, which is a stunt company created by directors Chad Stahleski and David Leitch. Eusebio’s resume includes movies like Black Panther, John Wick 3, Deadpool 2, The Fate of The Furious, John Wick: Chapter 2, John Wick, The Avengers, and The Wolverine, while Valera’s worked on films such as Aquaman, Atomic Blonde, John Wick 3, Creed II, Thor: Ragnarok, and John Wick. That’s seriously cool, because if we’re going to have a film about some bad-ass heroines, we need awesome choreography to match.
So far the cast consists of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Helena Bertinelli aka Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Dinah Lance aka Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Ewan McGregor as Roman Sionis aka Black Mask, and as Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain.
Birds of Prey will begin filming in mid-January and is expected to be released February 7th, 2020.
