The Call of Duty sequel is getting a big player in Black Panther’s scribe Joe Robert Cole. Stefano Sollima (Sicario 2) has been brought on to direct the first film, which doesn’t have a cast or anything, but the studio wants to be proactive in setting up for a sequel for the adaptation of the popular video game. This is certainly thinking ahead!

Neither the first nor second film have a distributor, which begs the question as to why they are not waiting to see how the first fairs before moving forward with a sequel? Either way, Cole has been listed as Variety’s Top Ten Writers to Watch and with the huge success of Blank Panther, they can’t go wrong with Cole.
