Zac Efron has been nabbed for the upcoming reboot of Stephen King’s ‘Firestarter’. The new adaptation is back by Universal Pictures, Blumhouse Productions, and Weed Road Productions.
Firestarter focuses on a young girl who ends up developing pyrokinetic abilities. She’s then abducted by a mysterious government agency who intends to weaponize her powers. It’s not yet known who Efron will play. Keith Thomas will direct the movie and the script will be written by Scott Teems.
