As one of the top video games in the industry, Borderlands 3, it was only a matter of time before Gearbox announced their DLC lineup. Last year they released the first DLC called Moxxi’s Heist of The Handsome Jackpot. This wacky adventure is set in Handsome Jacks huge casino space station that he finished before his untimely death. Wouldn’t you just love to be on board that casino playing tons of online slot games trying to win big money?
As you pillage and plunder Jacks casino you meet some new faces and challenges along the way. I haven’t played the DLC yet but I’m no friend of Handsome Jack so any chance I get to stick it him, I am there for it. Moxxi’s Heist of The Handsome Jackpot was the first of four planned DLC releases.
Just a couple of weeks ago they released the new DLC titled Guns, Love, and Tentacles which included the in-game wedding of gun mogul Wainwright Jakobs and eccentric hunter Sir Hammerlock. This DLC also featured new weapons and brand new planets plus some new characters and some returning characters that fans are used to. The DLC also has new legendaries and new cosmetics.
If you haven’t played or finished Borderlands 3 yet then don’t worry, you won’t have to finish the game in order to play the DLC. Though you might want to in order to acclimate yourself with the game, controls and the story.
More To Come
The last two DLC packages are set to come at a later date. The next DLC is listed as Outlaws and Dinosaurs but that might not be the official title once it’s released. That date is set for some time Summer 2020. With all that is going on with coronavirus though, there is no telling when the last two might be released. Borderlands 3 DLC pack can be purchased from the Microsoft and PlayStation store. According to Polygon, in the fourth DLC players will delve into the head of “our favorite Psycho” — likely talking about the player -character Krieg from Borderlands 2.
Movie in the works
Right now there is enough content to keep everyone happy and knowing that even more content is on the way soon should be something great we can all look forward to. For those who don’t play console games, you can now get Borderlands 3 on Steam. And if that isn’t enough there is even talks about a Borderlands movie being in the works as well. Eli Roth is said to be adapting the game into a movie.
