Brandon Routh Explains the One Demand He Had Before Returning as Superman in Crisis on Infinite Earths

Before Brandon Routh was Ray Palmer in The CW Arrowverse, he was Superman. Since the latest crossover event is ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’, the network decided to go all out and bring in many actors who formally played DC characters. This includes Routh reprising his role as Superman in the crossover event. According to CBR, Routh had one demand before he agreed to don the cape again:

“I wanted to make sure that it was the same character, the same version of Superman or at least similar enough. As we know now with different films and comic book storylines that have come out in all these years, there are different ways to approach the character.”

Routh played Superman in 2006’s Superman Returns and has appeared in the crossover as ‘King Come’ Superman. He continued:

“I wanted to make sure that ideally it was the same character from Superman Returns. And if not, that it was still that same idea of who Superman is, at his core. That was important to me. Because I wasn’t necessarily interested in playing a different version.”

How have you liked Routh back as Superman?
