Captain America’s Chris Evans Initially Turned Down the Role – Twice

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18317″ img_size=”738×369″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]We cannot picture anyone as Captain America than Chris Evans and yet, we almost didn’t get the actor as the iconic role. In an extensive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Evans discussed a multitude of topics, including turning down the offer to play Steve Rogers – TWICE:

“Getting the [Captain America] offer felt to me like the epitome of temptation. The ultimate job offer, on the biggest scale. I’m supposed to say no to this thing. It felt like the right thing to do,” Evans explained.

He even passed after visiting the location:

“You see the pictures, and you see the costumes, and it’s cool. But I’d now woken up the day after saying no and felt good, twice.”

Needless to say, we’re all happy that Evans did take the role. Avengers: Endgame comes out April 26th, which will be Evans’ last outing as Captain America. You really should check out the THR article for some major insight into the actor’s life – both personal and professional.
