Casting For Lead Role in Matt Reeves ‘Batman’ Might Be Revealed This Week

No doubt this Month has been a geek’s dream for exciting content. Between the series final for Gotham, HBO’s Game of Thrones moving in to its biggest battle in its history and Marvel’s Avengers End Game breaking records and hearts at the theater, what more could you ask for? How about the casting choice for Matt Reeves Batman?

It has been reported by Twitter scooper Daniel Richtman that the decision might be made this week.

As pretty much everyone knows by now that Ben Affleck recently confirmed he would not be reassuming the role and Director Matt Reeves has planned to cast a younger actor to portray a more inexperienced Batman. It is Reeves hope to make this a different Batman that has been done in the past with more emphasis on his “World’s Greatest Detective” moniker than has been portrayed in the past.

It’s more Batman in his detective mode than we’ve seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation.

Perhaps by this week we will learn who it is Reeves has pegged to fill that role. Are you excited to see who will fill Batman’s Cowl and the title of “World’s Greatest Detective?” Share your anticipation with us at GVNation.
