Debuting looks related to an upcoming project at red carpets are nothing new for actors. Who can remember when Demi Moore walked the red carpet with a completely shaved head to help promote G.I. Jane and shocked the world? Or even when Jared Leto showed up with bleach blonde hair before it was dyed green for Suicide Squad? The Golden Globes is currently going on as we speak and Chris Messina stepped onto the red carpet with bleach blonde hair, raising some eyebrows from viewers.
For us, though; who know that he will play Victor Zsasz in the upcoming Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) believe that this could possibly be a teaser for said role. Zsasz is known in the comic universe for making a tally mark on his body for every person he’s killed and in the movie, he will work closely with Ewan McGregor’s Black Mask.
Birds of Prey will be R-Rated and is directed by Cathy Yan:
“I could not put the script down, it had so much dark humor to it which a lot of my work does, and there are themes of female empowerment which are so strong and relateable.” Yan explained in a recent interview. “So I went in with, not with confidence, but at least a sense that I belonged in the room, that somehow magically in terms of timing and luck that this opportunity was open to me and I was definitely going to make the best of it.”
Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) hits theaters on February 7, 2020.
