Universal Pictures will work on a new version of Saigon Bodyguards. The upcoming comedy will be based on the Vietnamese film of the same name. Chris Pratt will join Wu Jing – who is the star of the Chinese blockbuster franchise Wolf Warrior. Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck will write the script and Pratt will produce alongside Joe and Anthony Russo.
The Russos were also consultants on Wolf Warrior 2, which was the highest-grossing film ever in China with $877 million in ticket sales. Saignon Bodyguards will focus on two friends. One serious, one goofy. The two will try to find a corporate heir who was kidnapped under their noses.
