Christopher Nolan is no stranger to the world of Batman. In fact, he possibly gave us three of the best Batman films of all time with his Dark Knight Trilogy. Matt Reeves is possibly coming for that title, as the trailer for The Batman looked spectacular. Robert Pattinson is the next Bruce Wayne, but before we see him as Batman, we’ll see him in Nolan’s Tenet.
Nolan recently spoke on his excitement for seeing Pattinson as Batman:
“One of the first things I learned when we went to talk to the DC guys before Batman Begins, is the character of Batman thrives on reinterpretation.” In Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, Batman became more of a dark and gritty antihero than a traditional superhero.
Nolan also commented on the different versions of Batman before and after his Christian Bale-Batman:
“Each generation creates its own version,” Nolan mused. “That’s what keeps the legend so sort of fresh in a way.”
Nolan concluded:
“Having worked with Rob, I can say with total confidence that he can do absolutely anything he sets his mind to.And I could not be more excited to see what he does with Batman.”
