CHUCKY: Jennifer Tilly Will Return For TV Series

While the Child’s Play reboot might have crashed and burned, the original Chucky is alive and well. SYFY recently announced that it is bringing Don Mancini’s killer doll to television for a straight to series order. Casting is underway and a very familiar face from the Child’s Play franchise says she is coming back. Jennifer Tilly has played Tiffany Valentine in the last four Chucky movies and will now be part of the TV series as well. Speaking to Page Six, Tilly had this to say

“I’m so excited, Don Mancini, who created Chucky 30 years ago, is the writer on this series, so it’s the original Chucky. A little bird told me that I am going to be a part of it.”

Having Tilly back is a great addition to the series as well as getting Brad Douriff, the original voice of Chucky. Here is SYFY’s synopsis of the show

A vintage Chucky doll turns up at a neighborhood yard sale in a sleepy American town. Its populace is thrown into utter chaos when “a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets,” according to the official synopsis. “Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”

We exclusively reported that the show will begin production in May of this year in Toronto, Canada.
