In October 2020, we showcased a Kickstarter campaign for a horror anthology called Nightmare Theater by Bloodline Comics. The collection featured spine-chilling stories by talented creators. A year later, in 2021, Bloodline Comics released a sequel to the successful book, Nightmare Theater 2, which also received great reviews. Now, the publishers are finalizing the trilogy with Nightmare Theater 3D: The Final Chapter, set to launch on Kickstarter. The following Press Release provides more information about this exciting upcoming release.

Bloodline Comics Presents Nightmare Theater 3D: The Final Chapter, and This Ultimate Horror Anthology Experience Is Coming to Life on Halloween!

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI 10/30/2023 – Bloodline Comics is thrilled to announce the spine-tingling release of Nightmare Theater 3D: The Final Chapter, a trade paperback horror anthology exceeding 150 pages that plunges its readers into a dimension of horror they’ve never seen before. To set the stage, co-creator David Schrader shares his excitement, saying, “As publishers of the Nightmare Theater cinematic horror comic anthologies, we have worked tirelessly to bring readers the very best creators, stories, and gloriously gory art imaginable. It’s been a wild ride, but the time has come to close out the series with a big, bloody bang– and do it all in terrifying 3-D!”

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the theater, Nightmare Theater 3D emerges to captivate and terrify. We all go a little mad sometimes, and this Halloween, readers are entitled to one good scare. With an assortment of frights, Nightmare Theater 3D promises to keep you on the edge of your seat as you’re tossed into a nightmarish world where the most terrifying stories in horror comics come to life in glorious 3D visuals.

This final chapter in the Nightmare Theater trilogy features some of the best writers in indie comics, including Pat Shand, Malissa White, Brian Hawkins, Dave Dwonch, Richard Fairgray, Shawn Pryor, Terry Mayo, Nadine Garcia, Nicholas Doan, Christopher Brimmage, Jessica Maison, Clay Adams, and D.E. Schrader, among others.

The nightmare continues with a star-studded lineup of artists, including Ray-Anthony Height, Conor Hughes, Steve Bryant, and Italian fumetti master Emanuele Taglietti. These artists will bring the frights to life in chilling, vivid detail.

Nightmare Theater 3D pays homage to the rich history of horror cinema, drawing inspiration from classics like Poe, Alien, slasher films, B-Movie scream fests, monster movies, Stephen King’s eerie tales, Kubrick’s haunting style, Romero’s zombies, demon possession, occult mysteries, and more. With stories that invoke fear and dread, this anthology offers a journey through the most sinister realms of the genre.

For backers who dare to venture into the deepest depths of horror, Nightmare Theater 3D offers exclusive rewards, including variant covers by award-winning vector artist Orlando “Mexifunk” Arocena, a variant cover by Italian master Emanuelle Taglietti, variant covers (SFW & NSFW) by Ginger Seehafer, and original sketch cards from artist Don Nguyen.
