If you ask Miramax CEO Bill Block he would tell you there is a possibility. At least that was his answer when the folks at CinemaBlend asked him previously. That was quite awhile ago however and with no news circulating about a future revisiting of the two franchises, it appeared that it might not happen.
However, in a recent follow-up conversation with CinemaBlend, Blumhouse Productions Jason Blum has still not ruled out a return to the once popular film series.
Yes, we definitely have [discussed it]. We’re looking – there’s nothing happening with either one of those things – but we’re definitely looking at it, and it’s definitely something I’d be open to.
It would certainly make sense for Blum and Block to partner again if anything were to come to fruition on either of those franchises. It proved to be a successful partnership for Halloween.
