The Tom Holland-led Spider-Man films have a tendency to add “home” in their titles. If this rumor, by Murphy’s Multiverse; is true then the third Spidey film will be no different. Apparently, there are murmurings that the third installment in the MCU Spider-Man trilogy will be Spider-Man: Homesick.
I’m sure Spider-Man Twitter will have a field day with this one. Admittedly, I’m not the biggest fan of the title, as it seems a bit lazy. As long as it’s good though, they can call it whatever they want. Unless, of course, they’re doing this on purpose to tease people – it could be a working title.
Take a look at some of the pieces of evidence that Spider-Man 3 could be called ‘Homesick’.
These come from Esquire and Maxim. Now, again, this could just be a working title used while filming happens. This is simply a rumor and could change at any time. Considering how Marvel has been going for longer titles in their next phase, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s something else. I.e. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings.
Then again, they may just want to be cheeky. We’ve had Spider-Man: Homecoming. Spider-Man: Far From Home. Why not Spider-Man: Homesick?
What do you think? If all goes well, Spider-Man 3 will hit theaters (I know, what are those?) on December 17, 2021.
