Back in December of 2025, we had the pleasure of showing four pages of creator LySandra Vuong’s Volume 4 of their popular webcomic Covenant. Thanks to the webcomic’s popularity and LySandra’s determination, Oni Press teamed up with the talented creator to publish all five volumes of their story. It was during this time that we talked about Lysandra’s story and how Covenant became such a fan favorite:
In 2019, LySandra Vuong was searching for a creative outlet beyond their career in biotech. That’s when they decided to dive in and teach themselves how to draw. Inspired by topics they loved, they began creating a webcomic that gave fans a window into their work. From those efforts, Covenant came to life.
In time, Vuong found that the ideas they found exciting and imaginative would also prove to be so to the fandom at large. LySandra helped spread the word by being their own best promoter, putting out samples and memes from their story for all to see. Because of that work, Covenant would find its voice and a huge audience. So much so that in 2024, Oni Press would collaborate with Vuong to bring the Covenant series to print with the first of 5 volumes.
