Who knows how long we will sit here pondering about a Synder Cut version of Justice League. Despite the film coming out last year, there is still arguing over if a Synder Cut originally exists. For those who are not aware of this dilemma, there is a group of DCEU fans who believe that the Justice League we saw on screen was not the original, intended version. And that there’s a movie that exists that was entirely Zack Synder’s rendition of it, before Joss Whedon stepped in to finish the film after Synder had to walk away due to a family tragedy.
There are also those who believe this version does not exist and that this is simply fans’ way of coping due to the fact that the Justice League film really wasn’t that great. No matter your theory on it, Jay Oliva, an animated film director; revealed in a Twitter exchange that a Synder cut exists. And in the Synder cut, Cyborg had an origin story that more so resembled the 2014’s animated film Justice League: War’s backstory for Victor Stone.
It exists. Want a hint of how Cyborg’s origin was integrated to the origin of the Justice League? Well I did a little film that was based on the comic reboot in 2011. pic.twitter.com/yYmwCeW78y

Whether a Synder Cut exists or not, I don’t know if we’ll ever get to see it. The only thing that we can do is learn from Justice League and move forward in the DCEU. In a review I wrote for the movie, I praised Ray Fisher’s performance as Cyborg. Although Joivan Wade has been cast as Cyborg in the live-action series Doom Patrol, Fisher stated on Twitter that he has no intentions of not picking the role back up for his solo-movie in 2020.
