Daniel Craig Says Growing Up He Always Dreamed of Playing A Superhero

For five films, Daniel Craig has played the iconic Ian Fleming super-spy James Bond. With No Time to Die slated as Craig’s Bond sendoff, it has given him a chance to reflect. In a recent interview with Saga Magazine, Craig admitted that Bond was not his first choice  of a character to play.

People are always saying to me, ‘You must have dreamed of playing James Bond when you were a kid. The answer is no, I never did. I dreamed of being all sorts of other things – Superman, Spider-Man, the Invisible Man, even a good old-fashioned cowboy. But Bond, not so much, which seems ironic now… I’ve been lucky enough to land one of the best roles in movies. There’s no downside to playing Bond.

Many of his fans would agree and will miss Craig’s interpretation of the British Super-Spy. How do you think Craig might have fared as a superhero? He had actually played a cowboy type character in Cowboys vs. Aliens. Which superhero would you have cast Daniel Craig as? Share your casting choices with us at Geek Vibes Nation.
