Four new seasons of Marvel original shows on Netflix. You heard that right. Not only did we have Luke Cage and Jessica Jones season two with Iron Fist’s second season on the way, but it seems like we’re also getting Daredevil’s highly anticipated season three. The Devil of Hell’s kitchen is the street-level hero who started this whole thing and his third year has been waited on for some time, with fans believing we’d probably not see him again until 2019 considering we’re already getting three in 2018.
But, Netflix’s initiative to produce these shows out faster seems to be holding true. Netflix’s CEO Ted Sarandos confirmed that the fan favorite show would be returning in 2018, “In the short term, we’ve got new seasons coming up, in the second half of this year, of Orange is the New Black, Ozark, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Narcos, the finale of House of Cards, the follow-up series to Making a Murderer,” Sarandos said.
This is awesome news. While I may have enjoyed Jessica Jones and Luke Cage’s second season and actually am interested in Iron Fist, Daredevil stands out from the rest. Charlie Cox has brought Matt Murdock to life in a way that no other actor could. We have so much to find out in the third season, so much aftermath from the second season and first season of the Defenders that the idea of waiting until 2019 almost seemed cruel.
There has yet to be a release date or a trailer for the third season, but there’s so much anticipated about it. Wilson Fisk himself says that the new actors bring their A-game and that the third season is top notch, while Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) has described season three as the season that will “leave you naked and senseless at the end.” I can hardly wait!
Thank you! But if I knock your socks off then @vincentdonofrio will blow your mind. basically DDS3 will leave you naked and senseless by the end. At least that's what we were going for. 😉
