While the cancellations of all the Marvel Netflix shows came as a shock, none other than Daredevil cause such a visceral effect across the internet. With the #SaveDaredevil tag trending on Twitter and people frequently making their opinions known to Netflix about this decision, someone recently asked showrunner Erik Oleson a question that received a bittersweet answer.

While we would all love to see the cast of Daredevil work together again, especially with Oleson; but on top of this kind of project, we’d all love a fourth season of Daredevil. If there is any way that could happen, we’d all prefer it. Now, if Oleson was to make a project with the Daredevil cast then I would request bringing Jay Ali back, as Ali wouldn’t have been able to reprise his role in another season anyway.
I just hope that we could one day see another season of Daredevil somewhere, as even actor Charlie Cox expressed his disappointment over the cancelation:
“A lot of us really expected to keep going, and I certainly did. The truth is, I felt like we had a lot of stories to tell, and although I understand [the cancellation], I’m very saddened by that.
“It’s just how business works. But also, these characters mean a lot to people. It’s weird to think there’s a chance I won’t be playing Matt Murdock ever again. That’s a bizarre feeling, because that character has been such a huge part of my life for the last four and a half years.”
Have you watched Daredevil season three? What are your thoughts?
