Daredevil’s Vincent D’Onofrio Joins the #SaveDaredevil Movement

It’s one thing for fans to rally together to attempt to save the fate of a beloved series, but when the actors become involved it’s truly heartwarming to see that the show meant just as much to fans as it did to those involved in the project. Daredevil being canceled brought many together online and the #SaveDaredevil is still floating around, because it’s a decision by Netflix that many of us cannot accept.

Now it’s Wilson Fisk himself joining in. Vincent D’Onofrio, who gave arguably the best performance in Daredevil season three and that is a big statement considering how everyone gave their best in the show’s last installment. After having shared a few #SaveDaredevil tweets, D’Onofrio also posted the link for the petition that is floating around for those to sign.

The Change.org link has over 33,000 signatures on it and the link also provides ways to contact those from Netflix, Disney, and Marvel Television. There is certainly solidarity among the community, which is refreshing to see. This was a series that clearly had room for more and the uncalled for cancellation shocked many. Even fellow actress Amy Rutberg retweeted D’Onofrio’s tweet.

Whether this will actually accomplish anything, it will still, hopefully; show studios how upset and determined fans are. You can also continue to support the show by rewatching the three seasons on Netflix.

The Punisher season two will return to Netflix on January 18th, although we are all sure that it will suffer the same fate as Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil. Still, there are power in numbers and fans have been able to bring back shows before.
