After releasing its best yet, the third season cements the series as the best in the Marvel Netflix universe. With now the demise of Iron Fist and Luke Cage, I’m not so sure. But, if we’re going on critics reviews and fan’s reactions, Daredevil is sure to get another season. And we already could be looking at the villain for it.
Wilson Bethel’s portrayal of infamous Marvel villain Bullseye was something to be seen, but we only ever saw him either in layman’s clothes or a version of Daredevil’s costume. The end of the series left Dex paralyzed, with doctors trying to repair his spine, all thanks to Wilson Fisk slamming him into the point of a wall. As fantastic as Vincent D’Onofrio was, a fourth season would be perfect for Bullseye to return as a full-blown baddie, as we only saw increments of this in season three.
Wilson Bethel himself sat down to speak about the possibility of seeing Bullseye in the future:
“There’s nothing of any kind that’s concrete about future plans, but I think even in this season, he’s not the Bullseye that people necessarily expect to see, which is a truly gleefully unhinged baddie. This season deals a lot with his descent, and what’s going on in his head and how he expresses himself through violence, and finds some relief in that. From what I understand, the version of Bullseye in the comics is grinning ear to ear while he’s doing f**ked-up shit, and that’s not really who you see in this show yet. But I think we’re starting to get an idea of how he gets there. I would love to play that character at some point, and I think there’s a version of Dex that starts out in the next season of this show, trying to rebuild from the rubble of his life, and finds this whole new trajectory that gets him there. For now, what’s so special is we got to create something completely new, and experience Ben Poyndexter the man, even knowing where he’s ultimately going.”
It would be absolutely wonderful if we got a fourth season of Netflix and considering how much work Bethel put into giving us a character who was constantly teetering on the edge of holding it together and losing it, I feel the actor could give us a completely unhinged version of Bullseye if given the opportunity.
Watch Daredevil season three now to get all of the Bullseye you could want![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
