As most fans know, DC originally planned to tie its films to each other visa vie Marvel. This proved to be problematic. Instead, they have found great success in solo films that are not necessarily tied together. To emphasize the original plan, Suicide Squad Director David Ayers recently tweeted about a plot tie to Justice League. This plot element was removed later in the process.
Before the change, the story was about The Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) using a Motherbox to build a Boom Tube. This was different from the create a machine out of thin air direction they went to. Of course, the Motherbox was greatly intwined in Justice League including the resurrection of Superman.
It was supposed to be a boom tube as she was under control of a motherbox. All the Apokalypse elements were stripped out late in the game. The machine concept was an attempt to create a ticking clock and world threat. https://t.co/NTDRrAv4rx

Would this have been a welcome addition to Suicide Squad? Do you agree with the removal of any ties to the Apokalypse story line? Share your theories with us at Geek Vibes Nation.
