DC Comic Review: Supergirl #26

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”13593″ img_size=”600×910″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Supergirl #26 opens readers up to Kara in trouble, bound and at the mercy of the creatures who know who Supergirl is and are wondering why she is so far away from Earth. This is a very exciting issue in the journey of Supergirl and really shows Kara’s strong will in the face of adversary. From her refusal to cooperate with her torturers, to literally spitting in the face of a tyrant, and goading on an evil alien, it’s an enjoyable comic book to sit down and read any time of the day for some DC goodness.

What I particularly liked about this issue was Kara herself and seeing her going up against various obstacles in Supergirl #26. There were a few incredibly creepy panels that made me worried for our heroine, but it was incredibly satisfying to see her prevail as the issue went on. As a Kryptonian, it’s almost within her DNA to be a natural born leader and not allow herself to be down for very long.

Supergirl is literally at the mercy of the Citadel in this latest issue and you need to read every panel as there is a lot of dialogue and a lot going on. The panels, though; are not cluttered and the illustration is a classic comic book style.

I also loved seeing all different types of aliens and the bright colors of the comic book. And in the end, Kara is definitely going to have her hands tied in the next issue, but it was really cool to read. It’s definitely something that you can imagine happening even in a movie setting and I believe that if we had a Supergirl movie, this would be a good issue to draw inspiration from.
